A fire ripped through the home of a Fairfield County town official, leaving the residence uninhabitable. The incident occurred in Ridgefield at the home of Town Planning and Zoning Commission Chairman Robert Hendrick around 10:30 p.m., Thursday, March 21, on East Ridge Road. A driver was arrested after crashing into gas pumps in Connecticut, causing a fire, police said. Authorities responded to a report of a crash and fire at a New Haven County gas station on Sunday, April 3, according to a report from the Meriden Police Department on Tuesday, April 5. Traffic Jam On I-91 In Meriden Due To Tractor Trailer Fire
The Southbound lane of I-91 in Meriden at Exit 17 is closed due to a truck accident and fire. Connecticut State Police said today, Monday, July 27 at 10:30 a.m., a tractor-trailer was in an accident and caught fire. Traffic is congested between Exits 19 and 17 - about 1.2 miles, the police said. Traffic is being diverted onto Route 15 south, via exit 67, the Plainville Citizen is reporting.
