A 57-year-old Connecticut man has been charged in connection with the murder of his estranged wife.
Hartford County resident Wilkid Valcinord, of East Hartford, was arrested on Tuesday, June 27 by East Harford Police.
On Sunday, June 18, East Hartford officers responded to a welfare check at 10 Martin Circle and found Andra Valcinord dead inside the home, said Officer Marc Caruso, of the East Hartford Police.

Suspect On Loose: East Hartford Woman Found Stabbed To Death In Home, Police Say
Police are searching for a suspect after a Connecticut woman was found stabbed to death in her home.
The incident took place in Hartford County around 6:30 a.m., Sunday, June 18 at 10 Martin Circle in East Hartford.
East Hartford officers were dispatched to the home on a check welfare call for service, said Officer Marc Caruso, of the East Hartford Police.
Upon entering, police located a woman identified as 51-year-old, Andra Elizabeth Valcinor, of East Hartford, who was unresponsive, and pronounced dead on scene by paramedics, Caruso said.

Two Die In Weekend Crashes In East Hartford, Police Say
A 17-year-old on a moped and 51-year-old man died in Connecticut in separate crashes in the same town over the weekend.
The first crash took place around 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22 in East Hartford when a moped driver was hit by a passenger vehicle on Route 5, said authorities.
The moped operator, Manuel Suarez, 17, of East Hartford, suffered serious injuries and was treated by paramedics on scene, then transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries, said Lieutenant Joshua Litwin, of the East Hartford Police.

Hartford Felon Sentenced For Possessing Loaded Rifle
An area man was sentenced to 37 months in prison for illegally possessing a firearm.
Manuel A. Gomez, 31, of Hartford, was sentenced Wednesday, Oct. 28, by U.S. District Judge Janet C. Hall in New Haven to the prison term which will be followed by three years of supervised release, for illegally possessing a firearm.
According to court documents and statements made in court, on April 17, 2019, Gomez was involved in a one-car motor vehicle accident in East Hartford, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia said.
