Numerous Dead, Very Sick Raccoons Found At Greenwich Point Park Police have responded to several reports of dead or very sick raccoons at Greenwich Point Park in the past 10 days. The Greenwich Police Department's Animal Control Section said the distressed animals were dispatched for humanitarian reasons. The animals were tested for the rabies virus, and the results should be in by Wednesday, Feb. 12.  "There was no immediate indication the animals suffered from the rabies virus," police said.
