Truck Crashes Into Darien Train Bridge, Closes Post Road

DARIEN, Conn. - A truck crashed into the train bridge in downtown Darien on the Post Road on Monday evening, temporarily shutting down traffic after 6 p.m., police said. 

A truck was wedged under the train bridge on the Post Road in downtown Darien Monday evening. A tow truck was required to remove it.

The I-95 exits leading to the downtown Darien area were also closed, police said. Police advised motorists to avoid the area.

It was not known whether there were any injuries. The Post Road was closed near the intersection with Tokeneke Road while a tow truck pulled out the vehicle.
