Stafford High School Grad Devon Davati Dies Unexpectedly, 29
Devon Davati, a Virginia native, died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 18, his obituary says. He was 29 years old.
A King George native, Devon graduated from Stafford High School in 2012 before going on to earn his bachelors of science from the Southern New Hampshire University, his obituary says.
Devon worked for CGI Federal in Falls Church, in the legal area for the Department of Justice supporting the Bureau of Immigration Appeals, according to his obit.

Services have been set for Teran Collins Jr., who died unexpectedly on Sunday, Jan. 28, in Richmond, according to his obituary on the Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service website. He was 26 years old.
Teran was born in Fairfax but lived in Beaverdam, his obituary reads. He was being remembered for his "contagious smile, teddy bear hugs, and pure heart," his obituary reads.

Virginia Lacrosse Player Jake Sinclair Dies, 17
Jacob "Jake" Sinclair died on Jan. 16, 2024, at his home in Fredericksburg, according to his obituary on the Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service website.
Jake's obituary says he was a lacrosse player at Brooke Point High School, and remembers him as a "kind soul with a caring heart," who "always made people laugh." He was 17 years old.

Francisco Somarriba, of Fredericksburg, died on Wednesday, Oct. 4 — his 50th birthday.
A GoFundMe page launched for his children, 22 and 24, says Francisco was affectionately known as Yogi, and will be remembered for his "charisma, generosity, kindness, cooking skills and easy going [demeanor]."

Fredericksburg native Kyle Payne died on Thursday, July 6, at VCU Hospital in Richmond, according to his obituary. He was 38 years old.
Kyle was born in Fredericksburg and would go on to serve in the US Army. He worked private security guard for Admiral Security Company in Warsaw, his obituary says.

Communities across northern Virginia are mourning the loss of a 32-year-old woman who died unexpectedly last week.
Krissy Elder, of King George, was a vibrant and vivacious woman who friends called the life of the party died on Saturday, June 18. Her family didn't disclose how she died. Her mom, dad, brothers, extended family, and her beloved dog Bella survive her.
