Two Entrapped, Five Hospitalized In Fairfax County Fire
Five people were hospitalized in a Fairfax County fire on Wednesday morning, April 10, responders said. The blaze broke out on the 13900 block of Whetstone Manor Court in Clifton around 10:15 a.m., the county fire department said. Two people were trapped inside the home where heavy flames were reported. Two occupants were removed from the home and seriously injured. Three others were hospitalized, too, police said.

On-Duty Firefighter With Ties To VA At Crash Struck Dead By Teen Driver In Pennsylvania
A 66-year-old firefighter was struck dead by a car driven by a teenager while on duty in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, Dec. 6, authorities say. Kurt Keilhofer was on the scene of a separate crash as a first responder with the Mapleton Fire Department when he was hit by the 19-year-old's vehicle in the area of Hares Valley Road and Dell Lane in Union Township, around 7:30 a.m., according to Pennsylvania state police. Traffic delays were expected on Lee Jackson Memorial Highway on Wednesday, Nov. 9 as authorities worked to fix a gas leak. Fairfax County police were re-directing traffic at westbound Rt. 50/Lee Jackson Memorial Highway and Rt. 28/Sully Road in Chantilly after a crew doing trench work struck a gas line, they said. Three-Alarm Blaze Breaks Out At Washington Township Garage: Reports
Multiple fire crews were reportedly on the scene of a three-alarm garage fire at Washington Township on Monday, August 22, according to developing and unconfirmed reports. The fire, located just west of Waynesboro, created a large cloud of smoke that could be seen from nearby roads.
