Police have identified the innocent driver killed by a wrong-way car thief during a police pursuit on I-695 earlier this week. Dimeka Thornton, 37, of Windsor Mill, was operating an Acura TSX when she was struck by a driver in a stolen car in the outer loop, on the ramp to Exit 18 to Liberty Road around 12:15 a.m. Monday, April 8, the Maryland Attorney General's Office said in a release. Just prior to the crash, officers were patrolling near the 1800 block of Belmont Avenue in Windsor Mill when they saw a car reported stolen in a hotel parking lot, officials said. A former teacher and youth pastor in Baltimore County accused of abusing at least two children has been arrested, authorities say. On Monday, Oct. 24, Baltimore County Police announced the arrest of Thomas J Brackett, 59, after allegations surfaced that Brackett abused the children while working as a teacher and youth pastor in Baltimore County from 1984-1985. Organs Of Towson Student Killed In Crash Will Save Others, Mom Says
The mother of a 19-year-old Towson University student who was killed in a Baltimore County crash said her organs will save the lives of others. Catherine Pratt, of Easton, was heading north on Greenspring Avenue in Reisterstown when her Kia Sorrento veered off the road and struck a fence before coming to rest in a field on July 31, county police said. Andrew Rader, 30, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault on Wednesday, May 18, Baltimore County Police said. Numerous of recordings taken of people without their knowledge were recovered from the home of a deceased Baltimore County music instructor, authorities said. Scott Tiemann, 46, taught music lessons at several schools in the area as well as at his Pikesville home up until his death, Baltimore County Police said.
