Man Abducts Child, Tries Ramming Mom With Car During Shopping Trip Argument In PWC: Police A 22-year-old man snatched an acquaintance's infant from her while out shopping, then got into a vehicle with the baby and tried running the mother over in northern Virginia, authorities said. Deyvon Marquette Newman was in Gabes on Sudley Road in Manassas around 3:45 p.m. Sunday, April 30 when the incident occurred, Prince William County police said. Newman grabbed the baby from its mother in the store and fled, authorities said. That's when he got in the car with the unsecured baby and tried hitting its mom with the vehicle, PWC police said.
