As Urbina approached the intersection with Dumfries Road, the disregarded the red traffic signal, entered the intersection, and struck a box truck, knocking the struck on its side and trapping the vehicle’s driver inside. Fire and rescue personnel responded to free the other driver from their vehicle.

The driver of the box truck was taken to an area hospital where he was expected to recover. A female passenger in the vehicle driven by Urbina was unable to get out of the car during the multiple attempts by police to stop Urbina followed by the subsequent crash. No other significant injuries were reported. The accused was detained and showed signs of impairment.

Urbina was charged with DUI, driving without a license and abduction.
