Virginia Marine Among 3 Dead In Osprey Crash
A U.S. Marine from Virginia was among three killed in an Osprey crash in Australia over the weekend.
U.S. Marine Corps Corporal Spencer R. Collart, 21, of Arlington, and two others died in the Sunday, Aug. 27 crash on Melville Island, north of Darwin, around 9:30 a.m., military officials said.
The two other Marines killed in the crash were:
U.S. Marine Corps Captain Eleanor V. LeBeau, 29, of Illinois; and U.S. Marine Corps Major Tobin J. Lewis, 37, the executive officer of VMM-363 (REIN), Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, of Colorado.

A mom of twins with Virginia ties was shot and killed during a fight at a Florida bar this week.
Tierra Binion, 25, was fighting with Rachel DeRise, 23, at Mugs & Jugs bar and drive-through in Pensacola on Wednesday, Aug. 23, WEAR News reports citing the Escambia County Sheriff's Office.
The two were "mutually combative," but the fight went from inside the bar to the parking lot, where DeRise's boyfriend, Christian Ketchup, punched Binion — knocking her out cold, the outlet said. A man who used a riot shield as a weapon and pinned an officer between doors was found guilty of felony charges for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the United States Capitol Building.
Patrick McCaughey III, 25, of Ridgefield, CT, was among the three men found guilty on Tuesday, Sept. 13, of felony and misdemeanor offenses for their actions on Jan. 6, 2021, the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia announced.
Tristan Chandler Stevens, 26, of Pensacola, Florida, and David Mehaffie, 63, of Kettering, Ohio were also convicted on Tuesday.
