Support Swells For Family Of Teen 'Victim Of Senseless Gun Violence' Outside DC HS Community members are rallying around the family of a 17-year-old who was shot and killed outside a Northwest DC high school decades after his grandfather immigrated to the country to avoid violence in his native El Salvador. In the afternoon of Wednesday, May 17, Jefferson Perez was shot and killed in the parking lot of Theodore Roosevelt High School in the 4400 block of Iowa Avenue NW.
