The incident began just before 1 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, when a Virginia State Police trooper tried stopping a vehicle displaying improper registration, VA State Police said. A medivac pilot proved that on Wednesday, July 6, after they landed a helicopter on Interstate 395 to rescue a police officer.  Park police requested the helicopter to rescue a motorcycle officer who'd crashed on Maine Avenue, WJLA said. A US Park Police pilot had no choice but to land on I-395 around 6:30 p.m. to whisk the officer away to a nearby hospital for treatment.  The impromptu landing caused a traffic back up and cars stopped on the other side of the interstate to watch this rare sight. Speed, Alcohol May Have Contributed To Fatal Arlington Wreck: Police Police say that speed and alcohol could have caused a fatal crash on Interstate-395 last week.  Virginia State troopers responded to the single-vehicle wreck early Friday morning, June 10, just before 1:30 in Arlington County, State Police officials said. A Chevrolet Camaro had skidded off the left side of the ramp, hit a curb, and tumbled.  First responders rushed the driver, Jose T.
