Sink Hole Shuts Major Arlington Intersection For 12+ Hours A sink hole from a valve leak has closed an Arlington intersection for hours. As of Friday morning, June 30, the leak kept Washington Boulevard and Glebe Road closed. The leak happened just before 9 p.m. Thursday, June 29. Drivers were urged to seek alternate routes. Update: Work continues at Glebe-Washington Blvd with detours likely to last through much of morning rush.
