Three District men are facing federal charges in connection to the fatal shooting of 59-year-old Raymond Ballard in late January, and an armed kidnapping and robbery on a Metrobus the following day in Southeast DC.

Friends and family are mourning the loss of Deangelo Moore, a father and entrepreneur who was gunned down in Prince George's County after making painstaking efforts to turn his life around after some trouble with the law.
Early on Wednesday, Oct. 3, police say that District resident Moore, 32, and Derrick Graham, 41, were shot in what his family described as "a senseless act of violence" in Oxon Hill.

Two men were killed overnight in Washington, DC, during a night of violence that saw multiple people shot during multiple shootings, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

The man who threatened a Maryland doctor who publicly advocated for the COVID-19 vaccine after tracking down his personal information will spend time in federal prison, the Department of Justice announced.
Aubrey, Texas resident Scott Eli Harris, 52, was sentenced to six months behind bars, followed by three years of supervised release after threatening the doctor in Maryland, according to US Attorney Erek Barron.

Squeegee Worker Kills Baseball Bat Wielding Man, 48, In Baltimore
A squeegee worker shot and killed a baseball bat-wielding man after he swung during an argument near Baltimore's Inner Harbor Thursday, July 7, authorities said.
Timothy Reynolds, 48, drove through the intersection near Light and Conway Streets when he came across the worker, Baltimore police said.
The two began arguing, prompting Reynolds to park his car and come back with a bat, police said. That's when he swung at the group of workers and was shot and killed by one of them, police said. The group fled.
