Fire Rips Through Fairfax County Home
Firefighters quickly doused a blaze that broke out at a Fairfax County home early Wednesday, March 13. Firefighters were called to a home on Silver Anne Drive in Lorton around 6:30 a.m., where heavy fire was showing from the side of the home. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control. No reported firefighter or civilian injuries.

All hands were on deck overnight as crews from throughout the area were called in to help battle a massive two-alarm fire that took down part of a DC firehouse that has stood since the 1800s. Baltimore Firefighter Rodney Pitts III died chasing his passion: Protecting the city that he loved. A rookie volunteer firefighter was arrested for igniting a car fire, authorities in Virginia said.Matthew Bush apparently sparked the blaze in his own 2021 Honda Civic near Samuels Mill Court on Aug. 12, according to the Loudoun County Fire and Rescue Fire Marshall's Office.
