Harvey Barnes III, of Upper Marlboro, was charged with first- and second-degree murder and other offenses, the Prince George’s County Police Department said. Childs was found shot and killed in Northwest DC. Over the summer, officers were called to investigate a midday shooting in the 100 block of Farragut Street NW, where they found the father of six suffering from a gunshot wound inside an area residence, investigators said.
