Bomb Threat Clears High School In Alexandria (Video) A bomb threat that cleared a Fairfax County high school turned out to be bogus, police said. West Potomac High School in Belle Haven was evacuated Wednesday morning, April 24 for a threat called in over the phone, police said. Out of an abundance of caution, the students were moved from the school to an alternate location as our EOD conducts a search. The search yielded negative results, police said. Man Killed By Car In Belle Haven A man was struck and killed by a car early Thursday, Feb. 15 in Fairfax County, police said. The crash happened at Route 1 and Huntington Avenue in Belle Haven, police reported around 7:30 a.m. The man, a pedestrian, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained at the scene.

The Parkway was expected to reopen shortly.
