An early morning crash in Virginia left one motorcyclist dead, and a second with serious injuries after they were run down by an SUV. At around 4:40 a.m. on Saturday morning, Virginia State Police troopers were called to a stretch of I-395 in Arlington County, when three motorcyclists were riding when they were struck from behind by an SUV. The crash happened near Exit 8 for Route 27. An 11-year-old girl trapped by her seatbelt was saved by a Stafford County Sheriff's deputy, authorities said. The girl's parent flagged down the deputy on Friday, July 7 in the Sheetz parking lot on Wyche Road, around 4:45 p.m., Sheriff David Decatur said. The girl, red in the face, was trapped in her seatbelt and unable to get out. Deputy Pitts noticed the seatbelt was twisted around the child’s stomach. A carjacking suspect is on the run after an off-duty DC police officer's SUV was stolen in New Jersey, officials confirmed. The incident happened early Monday, Nov. 21 in Elizabeth, city spokesperson Ruby Contreras said. Virginia Beach Pedestrian Hit By Car, Dies From Injuries: Police
A 73-year-old man from Virginia Beach died after he was hit by a car, police said.On August 6 at around 7:45 a.m., Ronald Ellis stepped into the roadway in the 4800 block of Baxter Road, where he was hit by an SUV, according to the Virginia Beach Police Department. The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement's investigation, police said. On August 8, Ellis died of his injuries, authorities reported.

Virginia Man In Critical Condition After Bicyclist, SUV Crash In Fairfax County: Police
A Virginia man is in critical condition following a crash involving two bicyclists and an SUV in Fairfax County, authorities said. Police responded to the crash at Belle Haven Road & Fort Hunt Road in Belle Haven around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, May 9, Fairfax County Police said on Twitter.
