A shifty 22-year-old suspect who broke into the Mount Vernon Plaza in Fairfax County through an unsecured fire hatch was arrested after being spotted by an eagle-eyed employee, police say. Gabrial Lynch, who has no fixed address, is facing a host of charges after a worker monitoring the inner office video footage spotted him in action in the 7600 block of Richmond Highway in Hybla Valley. Police have released details and the mugshot of an armed man who was captured on video leading a foot pursuit through Fairfax County. Adalberto Rivas Machado, 19, was found with a handgun in his pant leg after officers chased him down on Saturday, July 13, Fairfax County police said. Fairfax County PD Officers were called to the 8000 block of Richmond Highway in Hybla Valley around 3:45 p.m., where Machado had apparently been threatening community members with a gun, police said. Burglars Who Stole 6 Handguns From Fairfax County Gun Store At Large
Authorities in Fairfax County are seeking the two men who broke into a gun store and stole six handguns. The incident happened just before 2 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 29, at H&F Arms in Hybla Valley on Richmond Highway, county police said. Security footage captured two masked men break into the business through the front door. They took six handguns and two airsoft pistols before leaving, police said. Man Dies At Hospital Following Fairfax County Crash, Police Say
One person has died after being involved in a Fairfax County crash on Thursday morning, police say. First responders were called at around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday morning to Memorial Street near Richmond Highway in Hybla Valley, where there was a reported single-vehicle crash. One person was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, and he later died there, police confirmed on Feb. 22. A gunman was arrested for a shooting that happened in a vehicle carrying an infant and a family member wanted on warrants in Virginia, police said. Montez Damone-Faggins, 29, of Front Royal, fired a gun inside a car around 3:50 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, at 7700 block of Richmond Highway in Hybla Valley, Fairfax County police said.
