There was a heavy police presence in the area of 10200 Main Street after 5 p.m. on July 3, as investigators looked into reports of an attempted abduction of an adult in the middle of the day. Cleaning Crew Carjacked, K9 Helps Capture Suspects In Fredericksburg, Police Say A 21-year-old man and a juvenile have been arrested in a Fredericksburg carjacking, police said. Officers were called to Carl D. Silver Parkway for the carjacking where a cleaning crew had been forced from their car at knifepoint on May 24, police said. Joseph Wells, 21, of Stafford, and a juvenile both fled the area, authorities said. K9 Officer DeCilles initiated a successful track, leading to both suspects hiding in a nearby field with difficult terrain. They were arrested without incident. Wanted Suspect Barricades Himself Inside Stafford County Home (Update) A wanted suspect surrendered peacefully after barricading himself inside of a Stafford County home, police said. Deputies in Stafford County were notified that the suspect, whose name was not released, was in a home on Edwards Drive around 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, Major Shawn Kimmitz said. Deputies surrounded the home, but the man refused to leave. K9 and drone teams were called to the scene, and the man ultimately surrendered peacefully sometime around noon.
