Two Dogs, Firefighter Injured In Southeast DC House Fire
An intense house fire sent two dogs to a local veterinarian and a firefighter was injured battling a blaze in Southeast DC on Tuesday afternoon. Shortly after 4 p.m. on Feb. 27, officials say that DC Fire and EMS personnel were called to a home in the 3500 block of Ely Place SE, when a rapidly-moving fire broke out and spread throughout the residence. Six Puppies Kidnapped From Mom In DC, Reward Offered
The Humane Rescue Alliance in D.C. has offered a reward of $7,500 in the hopes of finding six stolen puppies, sources said. On September 14, the HRA announced that multiple now five-week-old puppies were kidnapped and stripped from their mother when they were just three weeks old. These puppies are supposed to remain with their mother, Godiva, and littermates until eight to 10 weeks old, the HRA said.
