Missing Man Found Alive After Search Of Shenandoah National Park (Update) A missing 75-year-old man was found alive Saturday, Sept. 2, after a search of Shenandoah National Park. Jerry Bailey, 75, of Tennessee, was reported missing to Shenandoah National Park Rangers early Sept. 1. His backpack was found in Pinefield Hut off Skyline Drive near mile 75.2. Bailey was found by searchers at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, in the southern part of the park near Ivy Creek (mile 77.5).  Shenandoah activated a full-scale search operation early today. The George Mason University honors student was reported missing on Monday, May 15, according to Fairfax County and Virginia State Police.
