Beltway Traffic Helps Cops Catch Up To MD Thieves Who Stole $4.5K In Bags: Police Traffic on the Capital Beltway is what police said ultimately helped them capture four people who stole $4,500 in designer bags from Tysons Corner. Around 5:05 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 5, detectives got an alert from loss prevention saying a retail theft crew grabbed more than a dozen designer handbags, totaling over $4,500 in value, and ran from the store, Fairfax County police said.  The suspects got into an awaiting Chevrolet Suburban and tried to flee the area. Several Thieves Rob Tysons Corner Jewelry Store: Reports Fairfax County police are investigating a robbery that took place in a Tysons Corner jewelry store on Thursday, September 8, Fox5 DC said. Inside the store at around 2:45 p.m., multiple suspects allegedly smashed the jewelry cases with blunt objects, stole items, and fled the scene, reports said.  There was no information about the value of the items stolen, Fox5 DC reported. Heads Up Riders: DC Metro To Implement 5 New Station Names The D.C. Metro will implement new names for five stations, the Metro announced. Starting September 11, signage and maps across the metro system will be updated to follow the new name changes, the company said.
