Shuyu Sui, of McLean, VA, was walking south in the intersection of 14th Street and New York Avenue, Northwest, on Friday, Dec. 30, when Spiro Stafilatos ran a red light and was struck by another vehicle — sending his Buick into Sui and the other pedestrian, Metropolitan police said. Driver Accused In Deadly Secret Service Pursuit Once Robbed MD Gas Station At Gunpoint: Reports A 35-year-old man who once apparently robbed a Maryland gas station at gunpoint has been charged with murder and related offenses for killing a female pedestrian and critically injuring another while fleeing members of the US Secret Service last week near the White House, authorities announced.
