Moments after it was announced that University of Pennsylvania President Liz Magill was resigning, Board of Trustees Chairman Scott Bok followed suit. Magill, whose testimony to Congress on antisemitism earlier this week sparked widespread outrage, resigned on Saturday, Dec. 9. Senior US State Department official Josh Paul has stepped down from his position amid President Joe Biden's response to the Israel-Hamas conflict overseas, he says. An Emmy-nominated journalist from Virginia has pleaded guilty to child porn charges more than a year after a raid of his home and subsequent resignation. DC Deputy Mayor Chris Geldart has resigned amid an investigation into an alleged assault outside a Virginia gym over a car door ding, Mayor Muriel Bowser announced on Wednesday, Oct. 12. Library Public Safety Director Resigns After Fatal Shooting In DC: Reports
The safety director of the D.C. Public Library announced his resignation after a fatal shooting at the Anacostia branch, according to FOX5DC. On August 4 at around 3:30 p.m. a retired police lieutenant shot and killed 25-year-old Maurica Manyan during a special police training session.
