Barricaded Person Set Fire In Southeast DC Apartment Building During Standoff (Developing) A barricaded man caused chaos for some in Southeast DC on Monday afternoon after starting a fire while in the middle of a standoff, officials say. Some evacuations were required inside a building when a fire was reported in the third floor of an apartment building that had to be contained by sprinklers. Update Box Alarm 900 block 5th St SE. Fire 3rd floor apartment result of barricaded individual. Individual in custody & being evaluated by EMS. Sprinkler activation contained fire now extinguished.
