Kids Bike Helmets Recalled For 'Risk Of Head Injury,' Cpsc Says
These helmets had one job — to keep kids safe — and they failed to do it, according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Ecnup Kids Bike Helmets failed to comply with basic federal safety requirements "for coverage, positional stability, and labeling," according to the recall notice issued on Aug. 24, 2023.
CPSC noted that "the helmets can fail to protect in the event of a crash, posing a risk of head injury."
The recall includes the size Extra Small (XS), fitting a head circumference of about 18-1/2 to 20-1/2 inches.

Every parent's worst nightmare came true for one couple in Northern Virginia when a cherry became lodged in their toddler's throat, and they weren't able to get it out.
Nikki Ing was outside with her husband and some of their children when her youngest son, Karter, 2, began choking on a defrosted, pitted, frozen cherry last week, she said on a GoFundMe campaign.

Attempted Abduction: Child Escapes Man's Grip Near Virginia Elementary School, Police Say
Police in Fairfax County are investigating an attempted abduction near an elementary school that they say happened this week.
A tall, thin, black male grabbed a 10-year-old child by the arm around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, near Island Creek Elementary School on Morning View Lane in Alexandria, Fairfax County police said.
"The child was able to pull away and quickly run back to the school," police said, noting the suspect was wearing a gray shirt, blue jeans and had a black backpack.
