Virginia parents are facing charges after their 2-year-old was found with fentanyl in his system, authorities announced. Responding deputies were told that the toddler was choking on a hash brown when they were called to a home on Thomas Jefferson Place just before 1 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19, Stafford County Sheriff David Decatur said. But Deputy Waheed identified signs consistent with someone who would be overdosing, and had the toddler taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, Decatur said. Police K-9 Gets Same Guy Three Years Later, Stafford Sheriff Says
And so, they meet again. A wanted Stafford man was apprehended by the same police K-9 for the second time in three years, police said. Joshua Sims, 36, first met K-9 Titan back in 2020. On Saturday, Nov. 11, the two were acquainted again. This time for a call of breaking and entering on Quarry Road, Stafford County Sheriff David Decatur said. Rent Dispute Ends In Standoff With Armed Suspect In Stafford County: Sheriff
A 63-year-old Stafford man was jailed after a rent dispute and accidental gun firing causing a standoff this week, authorities said. Glenn Conner and the victim were arguing in a home on the 500 block of Ferry Road Thursday, Aug. 3, around noon, when Conner got a gun and brandished it toward the victim, Stafford County Sheriff David Decatur said. A struggle ensued over the shotgun at which point the gun fired. No injuries were reported and the victim was able to flee to a neighbor's home, and call 911.
