Barely-Noticable Earthquake Reported In Gladstone: Did You Feel It?
A small earthquake struck western New Jersey early Friday morning, March 21, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The 1.8-magnitude tremor was recorded at 8:23 a.m., with an epicenter about seven kilometers southwest of Gladstone, the USGS reported. Residents in Lake Hopatcong, Chester, Gladstone, Mendham, and Bridgewater reported feeling it. The quake appears to have happened along the Ramapo Fault Line, near where the 4.8-magnitude quake happened last April.
