A Williamsport man is accused of providing alcohol to teens, secretly filming them, and possessing child sexual abuse material, police announced on Tuesday, Dec. 31.
Colin James Best, 39, has been charged with sexual abuse of children, invasion of privacy, corruption of minors, furnishing liquor to minors, criminal use of a communication facility, indecent assault, and endangering the welfare of children, according to Williamsport police.

A 45-year-old Passaic County man is facing charges after police say he was caught taking upskirt photos underneath females' skirts and dresses in a Morris County store.
Christopher Smith, of Ringwood, was seen in a Hanover business using his cell phone to record underneath the victims' skirts and dresses, police said.
He then would place his cell phone in a handbasket facing up, and then, he would hold the handbasket low to the ground, walk up behind his victims, and record up their skirt or dress, police said.

A Lincoln University man is accused of recording someone without their permission over a period of months, according to a release by Kennett Square police on Thursday, July 18.
Thomas Simon, 41, has been charged with a felony for interception of communications and a misdemeanor for invasion of privacy, the police explained in a release.

A Hackensack man has been arrested on accusations he secretly recorded a victim and sexually assaulted a child multiple times, authorities said.
Braulio F. Toral, 52, became the center of an investigation on June 17, 2024, when Hackensack police contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged incident of invasion of privacy, Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
An investigation found that Toral had recorded one victim without their consent multiple times, in "circumstances in which one would not expect to be observed," Musella said.

The owner of a Morris County clothing store is accused of secretly recording employees in the bathroom and then destroying the evidence, police said.
Nicholas Zirpoli, 35, used a device to surreptitiously record both male and female employees using the restroom of Plato's Closet in Ledgewood on or about Feb. 26, 2023, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said.
