Lakewood Man, 39, Drowns In Delaware Water Gap A New Jersey man's body was discovered in the Delaware River, authorities said. The 39-year-old Lakewood man was found dead in Bushkill, Pennsylvania, on Monday, Aug. 26, a National Park Service spokesperson said in a news release. His body was spotted about 20 to 30 feet from the shore at the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Rangers and divers responded to the drowning call at Bushkill Access at around 1:45 p.m. The man's body was recovered in about seven feet of water at around 3:07 p.m. This is the second person of the summer to drown at th…

Stow Man ID'd As Body Pulled From Lake Stow Man ID'd As Body Pulled From Lake
Stow Man ID'd As Body Pulled From Lake Authorities in Stow have identified a 70-year-old man who drowned in a lake on Saturday, Aug. 24.  Frederick Dusseault, of Stow, was found around 11:30 a.m. in Lake Boon in Stow. Witnesses called police to report he had gone into the water, and they could not see him anymore, Stow firefighters said. A bystander tried to rescue Dusseault but couldn't pull him from the water until firefighters arrived.  Paramedics rushed him to an area hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead later that day.

Child Found Dead In Pool Of Terryville Home A boy who was found unresponsive in the pool of a Connecticut home has died. The incident occurred in Litchfield County around noon on Tuesday, Aug. 20, on Magnolia Lane in the Terryville section of Plymouth. Troopers responded to a possible drowning of a child at a home on Bellavista Avenue at around 5:50 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11, a state police spokesperson said. The three-year-old had fallen into the pool before troopers arrived. The child was airlifted to a hospital for medical treatment. The toddler's condition wasn't known as of press time.
