Two more adults have been charged months after a 9-year-old girl was found dead in a tote along a river, as prosecutors say they allowed “severe child abuse and neglect” to continue inside a Pennsylvania home, authorities announced on Tuesday, April 21.
Theresa Marie Shipley, 63, identified as the child’s grandmother, and Sandra Lynn Umensetter, 51, a family friend, were charged in connection with the prolonged abuse that led to the death of 9-year-old Renesmay Eutsey, Fayette County District Attorney Mike Aubele said.

A child abuse investigation has led to the arrest of a Lebanon man accused of sexually assaulting a minor, police announced on Monday, March 30.
Nicholas Revilla, 33, was identified as the suspect during an investigation that began in November 2025 after Lebanon City Police received a referral involving allegations of sexual abuse of a child, according to the release.
Officers executed an arrest warrant on Friday, March 27, taking Revilla into custody without incident on the 600 block of Canal Street in Lebanon, police said.

A man who worked as an assistant wrestling coach at a Long Island elementary school stands accused of molesting a student on campus, police said.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 23, 2025, at Lido Elementary School in Lido Beach, according to Nassau County Police.
Investigators determined that John Anfossi, 54, touched a juvenile female student in a “sexually inappropriate manner” during a wrestling practice session at the school, police said.
