Robert "Bob" Bork, a 79-year-old High Bridge crossing guard struck and killed by a car last week is being remembered for his dedication to helping others. Bork was hit by a southbound vehicle on County Road 513 at the intersection of Larrison Avenue last Wednesday, Nov. 28, according to the High Bridge Police Department and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office. Daniel Collazo Portalatin of Vineland died on Feb. 16 after years of battling cancer, according to a GoFundMe campaign and his obituary. He was 27 years old. A DoorDash driver on a Dunkin Donuts run in Essex County crashed into a body of water because their GPS gave them bad directions, they told police. The unnamed driver called authorities just after 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 22, after they splashed down in a large pool of water in Middleton, Middleton police said.
