Bicyclist Struck, Killed Crossing Busy Street In Miller Place
A bicyclist was struck and killed crossing a busy Long Island street during the evening commute.
The collision occurred in Miller Place, on Route 25A east of Hunter Avenue, shortly before 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3.
Marc Wilke, 51, was riding his bike southbound across Route 25A when he was struck by an eastbound Nissan sedan, Suffolk County Police said.
Wilke, of Patchogue, was taken by ambulance to Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

The Rensselaer County wreck happened on I-90, near exit 9 in East Greenbush, shortly before 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28.

DUI, Unlicensed Driver Kills Maryland Hockey Coach, Dad David Funk: 'Unimaginable'
Maryland hockey coach and father of five David Funk was killed by an uninsured, unlicensed, and intoxicated driver in Delaware on Tuesday, Jan 21, authorities confirmed.
State police say 28-year-old Fidel Villatoro-Martinez ran a red light and struck Funk, 51, around 10:40 p.m. Funk was hospitalized, as was his 16-year-old passenger, identified in a campaign for his family as his son, David Jr. Funk died the following day, police said.
Villatoro-Martinez has been charged with vehicular manslaughter, driving without a license, failure to stop, DUI, and more, police said.

Car Crashes Into Home After Losing Control In Katonah
A car crashed into the side of a Northern Westchester residence after losing control, police said.
The incident occurred on Sunday, Jan. 12, around 2:40 a.m., when a vehicle driven by a 51-year-old Katonah resident lost control on Goldens Bridge Road (Route 22), Bedford Police Lt. Jeffrey Gulick said.
The vehicle veered into the opposite lane, exited the roadway, and struck several obstacles, including a guard rail and a fence, before colliding with the siding of a residence, causing damage.

Robesonia Man Killed In Skid Loader Accident At Lebanon County Business (Update)
A worker for a Lebanon County construction company was killed in a skid loader accident on Friday, Jan. 3, police said.
The victim has been identified as Clinton Devon Martin, 34, of Robesonia, Millcreek Township Police in a news release.
Martin, a six-year employee of TLS Equipment LLC, was found pinned under the elevated arms of a skid loader by coworkers at the business on the 100 block of Stricklerstown Loop Road in Newmanstown, police said. The incident occurred around 9:45 a.m.
