A 37-year-old man has been arrested for the attempted homicide of his 72-year-old father, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. Timothy Kirschke of Halifax had a physical fight with his dad at Dividing Ridge Road in Jackson Township around 12:29 a.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023, PSP Lykens explained in the release. Coroner IDs Woman Killed In York County House Fire
Authorities have identified the 54-year-old woman who died in a York County fire last week. KeShim Whiteleather's body was found inside the home on the 500 block of Rockville Road in Jackson Township on Thursday, Dec. 22 around 8:30 p.m., according to a release by the York County coroner's office. The Nashville volunteer fire department led the fire against the blaze. The coroner was called to the home at 10:19 p.m., although the woman's body is believed to have been found before then, according to the release. A 59-year-old man was shot dead by state police during an hours-long armed standoff in the Poconos, authorities said. Keith Carroll was shot and killed by troopers after he walked out of his Jackson Township home armed with a handgun Thursday, June 23, Pennsylvania State Police said. The first day of deer hunting season in Pennsylvania was off to a tragic start. William Tripp, 71, of Elizabethtown, was shot in the head by a juvenile relative on Saturday, reports WJAC citing the Cambria County coroner Jeff Lees. 1 Hospitalized In Myerstown Building Explosion
An explosion at a commercial building caused a large fire that injured one person in Jackson Township early Wednesday morning, according to authorities. Fire crews including multiple tankers were called to the Lapp Carriage Shop at 372 King St., in Myerstown around 7 a.m., according to Emergency Dispatch Services. A Jackson Township woman has died after a single vehicle crash, according to the York County coroner. Melina Valenti Broughton, 54, died at the scene of the crash in the 1000 block of South Salem Church Road in West Manchester Township at 11:17 p.m. Broughton lost control of her vehicle and crashed into several trees, as Daily Voice previously reported. A maskless man prevented from shopping at a Northampton County mall is accused of threatening a security guard with a knife, authorities said. Averi J.
