Bomb Threat At Lancaster County Business Fake, Police Say An evacuation is over after a business received a bomb threat Friday morning, East Hempfield police announced around 11 a.m. Officers were called to Shanks Extracts located at 350 Richardson Drive at 6:25 a.m. on Jan. 26. "Employees had just discovered a message that had been left on the company’s phone system indicating that the building was going to explode," police said. Albert Cheeks, 47, of Randallstown, Maryland was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Route 30 near the Marietta Avenue overpass around 1 p.m. when he rear-ended an 80-year-old Lancaster woman's car, according to East Hempfield police. The impact left Cheeks with serious injuries, police said. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
