Escaped PA Prisoner Caught In Philadelphia: US Marshals (Updated) An inmate at a western Pennsylvania prison who escaped custody last year was arrested in Philadelphia Friday morning, March 22, authorities say.  Isaiah Tilghman, 33, was caught on the 3300 block of Aramingo Avenue, according to US Marshals.  Tilghman was being held on drug charges and state parole violations when he fled from the Blair County Prison on Dec. 3, authorities have said.  Just days after his escape, Marshals said they believed Tilghman had been in the Port Richmond area. Body Found In Philadelphia Basement, Investigation Launched: Police Police detectives are investigating a death in Philadelphia's Port Richmond section.  A 62-year-old man was found dead in a home on the 3300 block of Livingston Street at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, police told Daily Voice. His name was not reported. Authorities said the man was located in a bathroom in the basement.  Police said that no weapons were found at the scene and that the cause of death is still under investigation.

Employee Pepper Sprayed During Dollar Store Robbery In Philly, Police Say Police in Philadelphia say a group of young people maced a dollar store worker during a robbery on Monday afternoon, Sept. 25.  It happened at a Dollar Tree in Port Richmond, authorities said. Five teens, including two boys and three girls, were also said to be armed with a bat.  Police said they made off with candy and drinks.  The robbery remains under investigation, PPD added.

Temple Student Shot Dead: Jude Chacko Mourned In Philadelphia Jude Chacko, a Philadelphia resident and Temple University alumnus, died on Sunday, May 28. He was 21.  Chacko was found with a gunshot wound to the head a Port Richmond street early on Sunday, Philadelphia police told Daily Voice.  He was placed in critical condition at Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead that evening, the department said. His death remains under police investigation.
