Pregnant Woman, 36, Killed In Lower Merion Pedestrian Crash
A pregnant woman died after she and four other pedestrians were struck by a vehicle in Montgomery County on Saturday, Dec. 30, authorities said. The striking vehicle hit two parked cars and the five pedestrians at W. Rock Hill Road near Bryn Mawr Avenue around 2:45 p.m. in Lower Merion, police said. A physical altercation ensued following the crash. The 36-year-old woman and her unborn child died at the hospital as a result of injuries sustained during the crash, police said. Elderly Pedestrian Critically Hurt In Delco Crash: Police
A senior is in the hospital after police said he was hit by a car in Marple Township on Saturday morning, Dec. 23. The elderly man was crossing Broomall Avenue when he was struck by a southbound vehicle near West Chester Pike around 10:20 a.m., township police said in a release. He was rushed to Lankenau Hospital where he was placed in critical condition, authorities wrote. The driver remained on-scene and police said they are cooperating with investigators. Marple police and Delaware County detectives are investigating, the release adds.

Officials have named the pedestrian who fatally struck in Warminster on Saturday evening, Dec. 9. Dennis Keith Hines II was hit crossing Street Road near Newtown Road, said the Bucks County Coroner's Office in a release. A child has been taken to a trauma center after being struck by a vehicle, Chambersburg police announced on Friday. The child "[accidentally] ran onto the roadway and was struck by a passing motorist," on Dec. 8, as written in the police release. Officers with the Chambersburg police department were called to a reported pedestrian accident in the 500 block of South Second Street at 8:44 a.m. According to Google Maps, the area is near Mike Waters Memorial Park and there are several crosswalks, but it is unclear if the child used one or was even coming from the park. …

A 35-year-old Pennsylvania man was struck and killed while crossing Route 80 in Sussex County Wednesday night, Sept. 20, state police confirmed. Troopers responded to the accident on the westbound side near milepost 23.2 in Byram Township around 7:55 p.m., NJSP Det. Jeffrey Lebron told Daily Voice. A Hyundai passenger vehicle was heading westbound when it fatally struck a man from Effort, PA, who was crossing the roadway, Lebron said. The man’s identity was being withheld pending family notification. The accident remains under investigation.

Pedestrian, 77, Killed Crossing Easton Street
An Easton man is dead after being struck by a car while crossing a city street on Thursday, June 15. Saifeddin Alrefai, 77, of the West Ward, was walking across Larry Holmes Drive when he was hit, said Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek's Office in a release. Alrefai was rushed to the emergency room at St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus where he was pronounced dead, officials said. His death has been ruled accidental by cause of multiple blunt force injuries, Lysek added. No charges were announced in connection with the crash.

Pedestrian Killed On NJ Turnpike
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car on the NJ Turnpike in Mercer County Saturday, April 16, authorities said. The crash occurred on the northbound side of the highway in the outer roadway at milepost 68.4 in East Windsor around 12:25 p.m., New Jersey State Trooper Alejandro Goez said. Two Pennsylvania State Troopers and one civilian were struck and killed on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia overnight, authorities said. A beloved Lancaster pediatrician died of injuries suffered last month when he was struck by a car, his colleagues said. Steven F. Killough was struck by a vehicle on Oct. 29, and died of traumatic brain injuries suffered in the downtown Lancaster crash on Nov. 12, Lancaster Online originally reported.
