Trader Joe's is recalling Infinite Herbs-brand organic basil that was sold across the country in 2.5-ounce clamshell packaging due to concerns of Salmonella contamination. 23 Small Aftershocks Reported By USGS In 23 Hours After New Jersey Earthquake
The USGS is reporting 23 aftershocks in the 23 hours since the New Jersey earthquake that rattled the Northeast. The initial earthquake had a magnitude of 4.8 and was reported in Whitehouse Station at 10:23 a.m. Friday, April 5. Tremors were felt by more than four million people from Maryland to New Hampshire. The first aftershock was reported just under an hour later at 11:20 a.m. 6 km NNE of Whitehouse Station with a magnitude of 2.0. TGI Fridays Closing Willow Grove Restaurant, 30 Total Locations Across Northeast
TGI Fridays is closing nearly 30 "underperforming" locations across the northeast and will sell eight restaurants to the chain's former CEO, the chain said in a news release. The 27 closures include restaurants in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Former PA Prep School Teacher Going Back To Prison For Sexually Assaulting 10-Year-Old Camper
After serving an 11-month prison sentence for sexually assaulting a pair of Pennsylvania students will be serving more time in prison for sexually abusing one of his former campers when he was a counselor, the victim's attorney said. Matthew Scavitto, 39, of West Chester, PA, was sentenced Friday, Dec. 1 to 2.5 to 5 years in state prison for incidents involving a boy from 2002 to 2003 at Camp Tecumseh in Moultonborough, NH, according to Eric MacLeish, a lawyer for the victim in the case. God bless America. There's a bird flu outbreak in the United States, and a bald eagle has caught it in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Meteorologists have released a more detailed forecast of the storm systems heading to the East Coast in the days leading up to Thanksgiving (scroll down to see where snow is possible).
