Alabama Murder Suspect Caught In Stroudsburg, Troopers Say Pennsylvania State Police say they arrested a man accused of murder in Huntsville, Alabama on Thursday, April 11. Malcolm Jacob Derr, 19, was taken into custody by troopers and US Marshals near 7th and Sarah streets in Stroudsburg, according to a release.  Authorities said Derr was wanted in connection with a deadly shooting on March 23. He was taken to the Monroe County Correctional Facility pending his extradition to Alabama.

Woman Dies After Fall At PA Prison, Investigation Launched: DA Authorities are investigating after an inmate fell to her death at the Monroe County Correctional Facility, according to the District Attorney's Office.  The unnamed 42-year-old woman fell from an "upper tier" at the prison early Sunday morning, Feb. 4, and was badly injured, officials said. She died hours later at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono, DA Mike Mancuso wrote in a statement.  "Detective Mario Orlando of my office along with members of the Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the death," Mancuso said.  County Coroner Tom Yanac has ordered an autopsy, he added.&…

Investigators: NJ Man, 19, Shot, Killed In Poconos Over Alleged $100 Debt UPDATE: A Pennsylvania man claimed he shot and killed a Paterson teen in the Poconos over an alleged $100 debt, authorities said after arresting him and an accused accomplice. Tyrone Michael Parson, 19, of Stroudsburg lured Jaheem Keith Alston, also 19, into a purported drug deal before pulling out a gun and firing several shots at him on Oct. 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
