NY Scammers Fleece Montco Resident For $130K: AG
Attorney General Michelle Henry is warning older Pennsylvanians to stay vigilant after three New York-based scammers were charged with stealing a combined $145,000 from Keystone State residents.
The first scam, which targeted a Montgomery County resident, purported to be a Publisher’s Clearinghouse sweepstakes and involved the victim sending cash and gift cards equaling $130,000, the AG said.

A New Jersey woman was killed and two others injured after it crashed in a residential area of Long Island.
Roma Gupta, 63, of Whitehouse Station in Hunterdon County, died, while her daughter, Reeva Gupta, 33, of Delaware County, PA, remains in critical condition following the crash in North Lindenhurst Sunday, March 5.

Bergen County actor and restaurant owner Frank Vallelonga Jr. was identified as the alleged overdose victim whose body was found dumped on a Bronx sidewalk earlier this week, authorities said.

A Monmouth County man who was once recorded shouting racist slurs at an Asian NYPD detective threatened to "f**k up" the next city police funeral.
"If I had known about that mother-f**king funeral, I would have f***ed that sh*t up, bro -- all the way, 100 percent," Terrell Harper, 39, said in an Instagram stories video. "That a' been a wet dream.

Man Threatens PA Judges He'll Be Like 'School Shooter In Courtroom,' DA Says
A 28-year-old New York man who is awaiting the outcome of a court case, is facing additional charges after threatening two Berks County judges, authorities said.
Tyrel R. Smith, 28, of the Bronx, is charged with terroristic threats and harassment for calling a judge's wife and court administrators on Nov. 9 because his court case is "taking too long," according to the Berks County District Attorney's Office.
