Man Was 16 Years Old When He Shot Teen In Butt, Now He's Heading To Prison
A Lancaster City man pleaded guilty and was sentenced for a shooting he committed as a 16-year-old, the District Attorney's Office announced on Tuesday, Feb. 13. Jeffrey Moreau, now 18 of the 300 block of South Prince Street, has pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, receiving stolen property, possession of a firearm by a minor, recklessly endangering another person (two counts), and tampering with evidence before being sentenced by Lancaster County Judge Merrill Spahn. Man Found Dead In York City Parking Lot, Coroner Says
A man was found dead in a York City parking lot on Saturday the York County Coroner's office announced Monday evening. The York County Coroner's office was called to a parking lot at 380 West Market Street at 7:01 a.m. on Feb. 2. Who found the man and how exactly he was located is unknown Deputy Coroner Karen Frank investigated and certified the man's death. He was pronounced dead at 7:41 a.m. on Saturday. 20-Year-Old Man Killed In Central PA Snowmobile Crash, Authorities Say
A 20-year-old man was in a fatal snowmobile crash in York County on Tuesday morning authorities told Daily Voice. The snowmobile crashed into a utility pole in the 200 block of York Road between Miller Road and Pleasant Drive in Newberry Township just after 8 a.m. on Feb. 13, according to York County Office of Emergency Management Public Information Officer Ted Czech. Authorities are investigating after an inmate fell to her death at the Monroe County Correctional Facility, according to the District Attorney's Office. The unnamed 42-year-old woman fell from an "upper tier" at the prison early Sunday morning, Feb. 4, and was badly injured, officials said.
