A Delaware County woman is facing charges for torturing animals in footage she shared online. Anigar Monsee, 28, of Upper Darby, mutilated and tortured the chickens, frogs, and bunnies, in footage shared to YouTube and other social media platforms, multiple news outlets including 6abc and NBC10. Monsee on Jan. 19 was charged with four counts of aggravated cruelty to animals by means of torture, court records show. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 5. PA Pilot, Photographer ID'd As Victims In Action News Helicopter Crash
Action News has released the names of the pilot and team photographer killed in a helicopter crash Tuesday night, Dec. 19 in New Jersey. Monroe Smith, 67, of Glenside, PA, was the pilot, and Christopher Dougherty, 45, of Oreland, PA, was the photographer, according to the news station. They had departed from the Northeast Philadelphia Airport before 7:30 p.m., in a Eurocopter AS350B2, headed toward Galloway Township, NJ, according to the FAA and 6abc. A now-former Philadelphia police officer was convicted Wednesday, Sept. 21 in the on-duty killing of an unarmed Black man nearly five years earlier, authorities said. Two Pennsylvania State Troopers and one civilian were struck and killed on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia overnight, authorities said. The crash occurred in the southbound lanes near Broad Street around 12:40 a.m. Monday, March 21, PSP said.
