19-Year-Old Dies After Berks County Crash: Coroner (Updated) A teen who was badly hurt in a crash on Interstate 78 in Berks County last week has died from his injuries, the Lehigh County Coroner's Office says.  Caden Hummel, 19, was headed east in Greenwich Township when he lost control of his Honda Civic and hit the concrete median on Tuesday morning, Jan. 30, according to a state police report.  After coming to a rest in the left lane, his car was rear-ended by an eastbound Cadillac, and both drivers were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, troopers said.  Hummel, of Leesport, died from a head injury on Sunday afternoon, Fe…

Attempted Murder Suspect Stole Car From PA Driveway, Troopers Say (Updated) A man accused of attempted murder in Delaware County stole a car out of a Berks County driveway early Tuesday morning, Jan. 2, state police say.  Troopers found an abandoned GMC in Weisenberg Township, Lehigh County around 4:30 a.m., they wrote in a release.  The last known driver of the car was 29-year-old Umar Kimel Presbery, who was wanted by Tinicum Township police for attempted homicide and assault, authorities said.  An hour later and four miles away, a Greenwich Township resident reported that his Subaru was missing from his driveway, according to troopers.  Inv…

PA Man Dead When Car Falls From I-76 Overpass, Catches Fire On Roadway Below An Easton man died when his car fell off of an I-78 overpass and fell onto Old Route 22 then caught fire Sunday morning in Berks County, authorities said. Raymond Clause was behind the wheel of a 2004 Dodge Dakota and was traveling at a high rate of speed on the westbound side of I78 around 7 a.m. in Greenwich Township, Pennsylvania State Police said.
