Pedestrian Struck In South Central PA (

Someone was struck by a vehicle in South Central Pennsylvania on Wednesday afternoon, authorities say. The pedestrian or bicyclist was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Heidlersburg and Old Harrisburg roads in Tyrone Township just before 2 p.m. on Nov. 8, according to Adams County Emergency dispatchers. Multiple EMS, and fire companies from Biglerville, York Springs, Heidlersburg, and Gettysburg, as well as state police have responded to the incident. HAZMAT: Asphalt Spills On US-15, PennDOT Officials Say (

A tanker truck carrying bituminous oil, commonly known as asphalt, crashed on US Route 15 on Thursday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The truck blew a tire and veered off US 15 going into the woods — spilling asphalt the entire time, according to PennDOT spokesperson Frizti Schreffler. The crash happened in the northbound lanes near mile marker 19.4 in Tyrone Township around 8 a.m. on Aug. 17, as shown on 511pa.
