Steer Clear: Flooding Closes Roads Across Philly Area Nearly three inches of rain have fallen across southeastern Pennsylvania between Sunday and Monday mornings, Dec. 17 and 18, according to meteorologists at the National Weather Service.  The Mount Holly, New Jersey station reports that flood warnings and areal flood warnings are in effect for parts of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Lehigh, and Philadelphia counties through late Monday night, though the rain is expected to "taper off" by midday.  We have a number of Flood Warnings and Flood Advisories in effect, and more are likely to come. Tidal Flood Warning Issued For Jersey Shore, South Jersey: NWS Coastal flood warnings are in effect for the Jersey Shore and South Jersey, according to the National Weather Service. The warning from the NWS in Mount Holly/Philadelphia is in effect until 5 p.m. Monday. "The threat will lessen as we go through the new week," the NWS said on Facebook.  The currents causing inland flooding are exacerbated by 10 mph winds from the northeast. The NWS warning includes the following counties  Burlington, Cape May, Cumberland, Middlesex, Monmouth and Ocean.
