Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Maryland Man Called Ex-GF 800 Times In Cyberstalking Rampage: Feds A Maryland man has been charged with cyberstalking after sending his ex-girlfriend over 800 messages in two days over the winter, authorities announced. Derik Wayne Bowers, 44, of Hagerstown, was indicted after stalking his girlfriend to intimidate her over text messages, phone calls, and Facebook, according to the Department of Justice. Officials say that Bowers sent his ex-girlfriend 815 messages in December 2022 on top of publishing social media posts to embarrass her and interfere with her livelihood. Watkins Mill High School was placed on lockdown the morning of Thursday, March 30 after two students got into a fight on school property. The pair were identified by officials and one was taken into custody. Following an investigation, the shelter-in-place was lifted shortly after the incident. Victim Shot Several Times Tries To Get Away Before Crashing In Southwest Baltimore A 38-year-old man is recovering after crashing his vehicle following a shooting in southwest Baltimore, authorities say. Baltimore police were called to the 2800 block of West Patapsco Avenue around 9:45 p.m., Wednesday, March 29 to investigate a vehicle accident when they located the victim. When officers approached the 38-year-old man, they noticed that he had several gunshot wounds across his body. Investigators determined that the man had been shot numerous times before crashing his vehicle, and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he is expected to survive.
