44-Year-Old Hummelstown Man Dies In Fiery Crash In Central PA, Police Say After 10 hours of road closures and down power lines, police revealed the cause— a deadly single-vehicle crash into a tree. Eric Wetherbee, 44, of Hummelstown, lost control of his vehicle for an unknown reason and crashed into a tree on Wood Road, between Waltonville and Middletown roads on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 2:06 a.m., the Derry Township Police detailed in a release that afternoon. Derry Township School Bus Hits Car Causing Oil Spill A school bus slammed into a car Tuesday afternoon, says Emergency Dispatch Services in Dauphin County. The bus hit sedan at the intersection of HP Drive and Sandbeach Road just before 5 p.m. One person was injured and treated at the scene. No students were on the bus at the time of the crash. Fire crews were called to the scene to apply oil drying fluid, according to the Hershey Fire Department. Derry Township police stayed on the scene to direct traffic.
