Dad, Daughter Killed, Son In ICU Following Box Truck Crash On PA Route 230 In Steelton
A dad and his teenage daughter have died and a 9-year-old is in the intensive care unit following a crash with a box truck, authorities announced Thursday, May 4, 2023. The driver was alone in the box truck and 40-year-old Joshua "JJ" Moore was with his 15-year-old daughter Aviona "Avi," and his son were in his car, when the vehicles collided at the intersection of South Front Street/PA Route 230 and T Street in Steelton at approximately 3:54 p.m., according to the police. Lebanon County Man Dies Days After Being Hit Outside Harrisburg Walmart
A 39-year-old Palmyra man has died three days after he was struck by a car outside of a Walmart in Harrisburg, authorities say. Pritesh Patel died as a result of the injuries sustained in the accident on Monday, Jan. 30, the Swatara police announced that afternoon. Patel was struck on Route 322 in the area of Mushroom Hill Road and was taken to a local hospital where he later died. Injuries have been reported at the scene of a crash involving a fire engine in central Pennsylvania. Swatara Township police were called to "an injury accident involving a Susquehanna Township Fire-Rescue Engine and an SUV" at Highland and Harrisburg streets at 9:06 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, according to a release by the department. A 12-year-old boy has died as a result of a single-vehicle crash where the driver is thought to have been driving under the influence, according to police. Swatara Township police were called to a report of a vehicle into a ditch in the 700 block of Keckler Road on Saturday around 3:40 p.m., according to a release by the police. A pedestrian was hit by a medical clinic and an airport on Monday evening, according to the police. The person was hit by an eastbound passenger vehicle traveling along Route 230 West Harrisburg Pike at the intersection of Rosedale Avenue in Lower Swatara Township, according to the release. "Efforts to revive the struck pedestrian were unsuccessful," police stated in the release. Lebanon Mom Dies After Crashing Through 2 Central PA Buildings
A 47-year-old mom from Lebanon died after crashing into two buildings Sunday morning, authorities said. Police responding to Linglestown Road and North 6th Street found Amy Krick's vehicle had left the roadway and hit two structures around 7 a.m., Susquehanna police said. Krick's vehicle appeared to have struck one side of Salon 160 then went through the other side and into a brick house, PennLive reports. A person died in a two-vehicle crash late Sunday night, according to area police. Swatara Township Police were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle crash with entrapment at 61st & Ann streets around 11:40 p.m. Upon arrival, officers learned that two vehicles had been involved in a head-on collision.
