2 In 'Serious Condition,' After Second Carbon Monoxide Incident In York County: Fire Officials For the second time in just over two weeks, first responders have been called to a carbon monoxide leak that left someone unconscious in York County.   Hanover Area Fire & Rescue were called to a "carbon monoxide emergency" in the 400 block of Pleasant Street in Hanover Borough at 1:53 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 26, according to a release by 79 Fire Volunteers. 'Carbon Monoxide Toxicity' Kills 5-Year-Old Boy On PA Farm, Coroner Says A 5-year-old boy has been pronounced dead shortly after being found unresponsive on his family's farm,  the York County Coroner's Office announced on Monday, Nov. 13. Daniel Esh of the 5400 block of Prospect Hill Road was found unconscious near a generator on Friday evening, according to York County Coroner Pam Gay. He was taken to WellSpan York Hospital were he died  at 8:48 p.m. Nov. 10 as certified by Deputy Coroner Karen Frank.
